Dear Senator Dolezal, Senator Still, Representative Jasperse, Representative Barrett, Representative Jones, Representative McDonald, Representative Cox, and Representative Clark,

We, the residents and constituents of Forsyth County, write to you today to express our deep concern and growing dissatisfaction with the recent redistricting of our legislative districts ahead of the upcoming elections.

Forsyth County has experienced remarkable population growth and demographic change over the past decade. Our communities deserve district boundaries that accurately reflect our neighborhoods, our shared interests, and our voices. Instead, many residents feel the proposed and enacted redistricting maps prioritize partisan calculations over the principles of fair representation.

Specifically, our concerns include:

• Community of Interest: The new district lines divide established neighborhoods and communities that share common concerns — from infrastructure and transportation to schools and local services — separating residents from the representatives who have historically served them.

• Transparency and Public Input: Many residents feel the redistricting process lacked meaningful opportunities for genuine public participation. Town halls and comment periods were insufficient to ensure that community voices meaningfully shaped the final maps.

• Partisan Gerrymandering: A significant number of constituents believe the redrawn boundaries were designed to entrench political advantage rather than create districts that are compact, contiguous, and reflective of our communities.

• Voting Rights: With Forsyth County being one of the fastest-growing and increasingly diverse counties in Georgia, residents are concerned that the redistricting undermines the equitable representation of all community members.

We respectfully urge you, as our elected representatives, to take the following actions:

1. Review the current district maps and support an independent, nonpartisan audit of the redistricting process.
2. Advocate for greater transparency and meaningful public engagement in any future map revision.
3. Oppose any further changes that dilute the voting strength of Forsyth County communities.
4. Work across the aisle to ensure that our districts reflect communities of interest rather than political convenience.

The residents of Forsyth County expect and deserve representatives who will stand up for fair, transparent, and democratic processes. We are watching this issue closely and will hold our elected officials accountable at the ballot box.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We respectfully request a response and welcome the opportunity to discuss our concerns further.

Respectfully,
