Did You Know in Georgia? 

• In 2022, immigrant residents represented around 1.2 million residents, with $38 billion in spending power and paying over $13 billion in taxes. In addition, it is estimated they contributed $5.2 billion to social security and $1.4 billion to Medicare.
• Top countries of origin of immigrants: Mexico (18.8%), India (9.1%), Jamaica (5%), Vietnam (4.2), Korea (4%) 
• Top industries in Georgia with the highest share of immigrant workers: Construction (25.6%), general services (20.9%), Manufacturing (17.60%), Professional service (17.70%) and Agriculture (16.10%)
• Immigrant entrepreneurs total over 100,000, representing 20%+ of entrepreneurs bringing business income of over $3.4 billion to Georgia
• 21.4% of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) workers, 14.40% of nurses and 17.20% of health aids in the state are immigrants.
• It is estimated that undocumented workers produce $9.3 billion in income and pay a total of $1.1 billion in taxes.

• FCS has over 53k students representing 129 countries and 69 languages
• Forsyth County is a minority-majority school system with the student population including:  44% White, 33% Asian, 14% Hispanic, 5% Black or African American, >1 Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, >1% American Indian or Alaskan Native, and 4% two or more Races.
• Since 2011 Daves Creek Elementary has changed from about 95% White to 75% Asian/Indian student population
• Forsyth has the highest SAT average score in Georgia; Has the highest ACT scores in the Metro Atlanta and Large Districts Schools
• Under Project 2025, ICE will be allowed to conduct raids on school campuses
• 78% of the immigrant community have a high school degree or higher.
