Vice-President Joe Biden gave a spirited presentation at the Carolina Inn (UNC) about our successes as Democrats and our strategy to maintain Democratic control over the N.C. House, N.C. Senate, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. He stated that the Republicans and their supporters are a Party of "repeal and repeat"". His message was based on a brilliant analysis of historical examples of how our country always responds positively when given a vision. If you have not had an opportunity to review some of the legislation passed by Congress under President Obama's administration, please go to our website. Vice President Biden also reminded us that this administration has passed more legislation to help the American public than any previous administration despite the economic disaster that President Obama inherited. He also reminded us that our economy had just lost over 700,000 jobs the month before President Obama was sworn into office
We only need to remember that unemployment benefits were denied by the Republicans to millions of Americans as an example of their repeal and repeat focus.
I was also enthused to see about 200 volunteers from across our State who attended the summit held in Raleigh for the coordinated campaign between the NC State Democratic Party and Organizing for America . We are one of two States that has agreed to coordinate our efforts to insure Democratic victories in November. A brief summation of this effort will be presented at our County executive Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday at 6:00p.m. at our headquarters. North Carolina is a critical State serving as a model of cooperation to support Democrats in November. Forsyth County is leading the way to illustrate how to work cooperatively for the benefit of all Democrats. Remember to call the office to volunteer to make phone calls, canvass specific areas and to register voters. Please confirm your attendance for the SEC meeting this weekend in Fayetteville by calling the office.
