Have you purchased your ticket for the Sept 8th Dash playoff game? The tickets are selling rapidly. Please join us for some fun in the park. Call the office if you need help in purchasing your ticket online. Have you told at least five friends to go vote early for the mid-terms election?
We need to vote early and support the judges, school board candidates, county commissioner candidates, Billy Kennedy, Elaine Marshall, Linda Garrou, Jerry Herron, Susan Frye, Earline Parmon, Larry Womble, Mel Watt and all Democrats.
We will be having additional orientations for all Democrats who want to volunteer to work on the North Carolina State Coordinated campaign to elect all Democrats. Remember to call Cindy at 724-5941 to volunteer.
It's time for all Democrats to roll up our sleeves and work to elect Democrats.

Early voting is our focus for victory in November. Please encourage everyone you know to vote early, vote for Judges, vote for School Board candidates and vote Democratic. All of the races are critical in this midterm election. All of our energies are needed to work with the new coordinated campaign to canvass, register new voters, complete phone banking lists and contribute to our Democratic leaders. Call headquarters to volunteer to work with the NC coordinated campaign to ensure victories for all Democrats in November.
Remember, Democrats at the Dash game on Sept. 8th. Call Cindy at 724-5941 for procedures on how to purchase your tickets. Billy Kennedy will be there as will Jerry Herron, candidate for Sheriff, along with other Democratic candidates. Remember, Sept 23rd Rally at Corpening Plaza at 6:00p..m. Falling into Victory for November is the theme. Music from local choirs, free food, candidates greet and meet, and an opportunity to sign up to volunteer to help us win in November. Remember the Fair is coming soon. Save the dates of Oct 1-10th to volunteer some time at our new and larger booth at the Dixie Classic Fair. Remember Rock the Block on Sept. 18th. We will be registering people to vote and networking with other Democrats.. It's getting to be a busy season for Democrats, so stay in touch with your Forsyth County Democratic Party.

Message from David Young, Chair of North Carolina Democratic Party - Week of August 16th |
|
|
|
I want to take a moment to thank the North Carolina Congressional Delegation and President Obama for standing up for our children.
This week, they approved legislation that kept 5,700 teachers in our classrooms.
Thanks to them, 1.5 million North Carolina children will arrive at the schoolhouse doors in the coming days with qualified, experienced teachers to greet them. That's something we can all be proud of.
Richard Burr's Republican cronies called this bill a "hand out" and a "bail out". Imagine what a slap in the face that is school teachers, police officers and fire fighters who educate our kids and keep our communities safe. It's also a reminder that we need to continue to support North Carolina Democrats, including Elaine Marshall, who has the vision and experience to move this state and this country forward. Unlike Richard Burr, she knows the difference between special interests and working for the real interests of our families, our children, and our communities.
Working together, we can continue making investments in education, get our economy back on track, and put our people back to work. Working together, the impossible becomes "yes we did".
Thank you for all that you do.
- David Young, Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party |

This past Saturday was the first DAY of ACTION for Forsyth County Democrats. Hundreds of homes were canvassed and telephoned on behalf of the entire Democratic ticket. The campaign workers for Jerry Herron, candidate for sheriff and those for Billy Kennedy, candidate to defeat Virginia Foxx were out in droves along with the many volunteers who want to see all of our candidates win this fall. If you missed this first of many coordinated efforts, not to worry, there are canvassing and calling opportunities everyday. Call us at 724-5941 and we will get you involved in the campaign of your choice! And remember, we can not win if we do not vote…so remind your friends and associates daily that early voting begins October 14th.
Thanks to all who came by our headquarters last Wednesday to celebrate President Obama's birthday. It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate, talk about what needs to be done in the next few weeks, and eat cake!!

"We will win in 2010" was the resounding theme at the NCDP convention and SEC meeting held in Fayetteville over the weekend. Approximately 400 people attended as delegates. The NC Coordinated Campaign was officially introduced as our vehicle for ensuring victory in November for all Democrats. Please look for pictures of the Forsyth County delegation on our website soon. The Sanford, Hunt, Frye dinner was an inspiring occasion for networking and being reminded by the honorees how our quality of life will be directly affected if we don't aggressively work for the Democratic ticket. We have started orientation sessions at headquarters to provide training for all volunteers willing to work on this critical coordinated campaign. All campaigns are invited to send representatives to join in this effort. Please call the office at 724-5941 for more information or to sign up for the orientation sessions. All of us can benefit because we all benefit when Democrats win.
More information on the weekend activities will be given on Wednesday at our Celebration of President Obama's 49th birthday at Headquarters. Come out and have some good Democratic fun, food and fellowship as we honor our President. See you on Wednesday at 6:00p.m.at headquarters.
