$20.10 Campaign

Donation Levels

Democratic Champion:
$20.10 per month
Sustaining Member: $20.10 per quarter
Party Stalwart: $20.10 twice a year
Party Supporter: $20.10 one-time

Your contribution is critical --- for example, 103 Democrats contributing $20.10 per month for the full year --- along with the generous on-going support of the Democratic Men’s Club ---- will guarantee that the party’s annual office operations budget would be met. Every dollar helps.

The work of our party costs money, and the many activities that we sponsor must be supported by loyal Democrats. With over 103,000 registered Democrats in our County, sustaining operations should not be as challenging as it is --- if every registered party member contributed $0.36 per year, we’d meet our annual administrative budget. In the absence of that level of support, we must ask those of you who feel a special connection to step up and give what you can.

The Board and a growing circle of active members are working hard to make sure that we raise all that we need to keep our office open and to support local efforts to gain additional Democratic victories. The 2008 presidential election was a unique time for us, and we saw an unprecedented number of people step forward under the Democratic banner. In 2009 we instituted the first “Democratic Champions” campaign to help bring in funds, and this year the Board has voted to continue the Champions drive with the “$20.10” campaign --- an effort to both raise necessary resources and highlight the importance of this fall’s elections.

Funds raised through “$20.10” will be directed towards office operations, leaving dollars raised from our annual gala and other events to provide additional support for GOTV, candidate recruitment and training, precinct organizing, and other important party activities.  Please click on the “$20.10” button to give what you can, or drop a check in the mail when it’s convenient. Democracy isn’t free, and neither is keeping our party alive and well.

How to Donate to the $20.10 Campaign:
1) Click the "Click to Donate" button to open the Donation Page.
2) Select $20.10 Option
3) Check "Make my payment a recurring payment:"
4) Choose a frequency and times based on your donation level.

President's Day Call to Action - - Your Voice is Needed!
Monday, February 15th, 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. at Headquarters
Keep the light on health care reform!
Last week, an alarming new study published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services shows that health care costs increased last year at the fastest rate in more than a half century.  Health care spending rose to an estimated $2.5 trillion in 2009, or $8,047 per person - and is now projected to nearly double by 2019.  If we don't act, this growing burden will mean more lost jobs, more families pushed into bankruptcy, and more crushing debt for our nation.

Also last week, President Obama addressed Senate Democrats to urge lawmakers to continue their work on this issue even as Congress has shifted its attention to addressing the nation's unemployment rate.  Let your voice be among those supporting a continued focus on health care reform.  Join us next week in writing letters to the president, our representatives in the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate and generating letters to the editor to keep attention on the need for health care reform.

Drop by HQ anytime from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15 to celebrate President's Day by speaking out.
During this time, you can also learn more about how you can make a difference by volunteering your time this year - - even if it is only one hour a week.  2010 is important.  Now is the time to get involved.

Other Census-related volunteer work may evolve from this depending on the response we get to this call for help. Fluency in Spanish is not required but we will need bilingual volunteers, as well. Organizing Precincts
 Note about Organizing Precincts
Please review the list of currently organized precincts.  If your precinct does not have officers listed and is, therefore, not organized and you would like to be involved in the organizing effort for your precinct, please contact us at FCDP Headquarters at 724-5941 or at We would love to have your help!

Help Make a Sound!
We are frequently asked about items that would be on the party's wish list. One of these items is a portable sound system. If you have ever been to a party meeting (inside or outside) and had a hard time hearing the speaker, then you know how valuable this item could be. Our own Dan Bennett is leading an effort to provide funding for this much needed item. The total cost estimate is $1,000. The value of a sound system will only multiply as we look toward a busy 2010 with U.S. Senate and U.S. House races along with many local and state contests. If you can give a few dollars to this effort or if you have any questions, please contact Dan at 768-0942 or the FCDP at 724-5941. Donations will be accepted at headquarters.
